The Experience

From hello to heirloom

Not a Photo Shoot

A finished work of art, made slowly and properly

A portrait session isn’t an hour of someone’s time. It’s the careful creation of an artwork — designed around your dog, your story, and the walls of your home.

From the moment you say hello, my goal is for every step to feel considered and special. I want to learn all about your dog: your relationship, the things you do together, whether they love toys, water, or a sneaky puppachino.

And because I accept only a handful of sessions each year, you will never be one booking among dozens. You’ll have all of my attention — and all of my craft.

Zoe was amazing! Totally captured the essence of what I wanted in my photos with my dog Cooper! Communication before, during and after our session was great and she made both Cooper and myself feel comfortable and relaxed. Presentation of my photos was fantastic and I loved how she made us feel special. Thanks Zoe — it truly was an awesome experience!

The Seven Movements

How your session unfolds

Nothing here is a surprise — you’ll know exactly what happens at every step, including the investment, long before your session day.

I

It starts with hello

Send through your details using the enquiry form. I’ll reach out with a short questionnaire and arrange a time for us to talk — a relaxed conversation, never a sales call.

II

We get to know each other

We’ll talk about your dog, your home and what you’re dreaming of — and we might decide to meet in person to go over the finer details. (It’s really just an excuse for me to dish out belly rubs to your fur baby.)

III

We design your session

Lifestyle, fine art portraiture, or both — each takes a different approach. We’ll choose an outdoor location across Brisbane or the Sunshine Coast, plan around your dog’s personality, and design with your walls in mind from the very beginning.

IV

The sitting

A fun, unhurried session on location — typically 90 to 120 minutes, set entirely by your dog’s pace. Breaks for zoomies and sniffs included. Nervous, reactive and senior dogs are not just accommodated; they’re my specialty.

V

The artistry

Over the following three weeks I pour over every photograph from our session, select the very best, and craft them into finished works of art — the slow, hand-finished editing my gold award–winning fine art is known for.

VI

The reveal & design appointment

You’ll be welcomed to a private reveal of your collection, presented beautifully. We’ll preview pieces on photos of your own walls, explore samples in your hands, and design your order together — with no minimum, no pressure, and lay-by always available.

VII

The heirloom arrives

Your order is placed with my trusted Australian artisans. Over 5–6 weeks your artwork is made, then inspected by me personally before you’re welcomed back to collect it — ready for the wall, the bookshelf, and the next thirty years.

You won’t receive a folder of files to forget about in a drawer. You’ll receive artwork — made to be walked past, smiled at, and handed down.

It starts with hello — and ends with the love of your life on your wall.
